Acne and pimples are that pesky issue through which most of humans go through at least few years in their lives. I decided to write an article about simple, effective Honey-based acne Remedy.

The benefits of using honey and cinnamon together as a face mask haven’t really been studied, yet. They have been separately studied, but results of the research are mixed on whether or not they are effective in combination. What is known that both honey and cinnamon are both antibacterial substances.

A review  published in the Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine found that honey contains enzymes that create hydrogen peroxide. It has, just as cinnamon antimicrobial properties. Latest researches show that it has antibacterial, antiparasitic, antioxidant as well as anti inflammatory effect. Cinnamon is also used for wound treatment.

Lack  of study which would confirm benefits of this mixture, does not negate its effectiveness. Many people which tried these masks are testifying to the success of the mixture. In this part of the world  it is known as natural remedy for acne, which now is going viral on web. Little research on net will show various types  of ratios and uses for the mask. I chose just two which I find to be most beneficial.

Use of Honey-based Acne Remedy

Well believe it or not there are actually 2 different methods for this problem. You can make 2 different Honey-based Acne remedy masks. You will see which one works better for you.

Mask #1 and it’s application:

For this mask you will need 3 spoons of manuka honey and 1 spoon of real cinnamon. Simply mix up 2 ingredients and heat it up a bit (without making it warm) and apply on face as mask for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes rinse it out with warm water.

Mask #2 and it’s application:

Mix 2 tablespoons of honey with 1 table spoon of cinnamon to get a paste-like substance. Apply to skin, either to individual blemishes with a clean fingertip or cotton swab, or to the entire face. Rinse with warm water after leaving on overnight or rinse 30 minutes after application.

Before you apply this mask, do a patch test on hand. If you notice that you are allergic to the components it is not for you. To conduct this test do following. Apply a dime-sized portion of the mixture to the back of the hand and wait at least 10 minutes. If in those 10 minutes you notice redness, swelling or itching then this mask is not for you! Don’t do rinsing with very warm water, as it may cause your skin to become dry.
